Service Contract Inventory (SCI)
Section 743 of Division C of the FY 2010
Consolidated Appropriations Act, Public Law
111-117 requires every civilian government agency
to compile an annual list of service contracts
performed for, or on behalf of the agency, during
the prior fiscal year.
The inventory is required to be submitted each
year by the end of the calendar year and must
include many data elements which are readily
available in the Federal Procurement Data System
(FPDS).
The net effect of this legislation is that we
must provide an inventory and an analysis of our
contracted functions to OMB each year. This
information will be used to inform a variety of
acquisition and workforce decisions.
